With so many women working in the legal field, including that of Attorney
General for the United States, it is interesting to see the change a century
has brought. Kit Shannon left the east to live in Los Angeles with her aunt,
intending to begin the practice of law. Her socialite aunt was horrified to
think of her niece practicing law. So strong was Kit's sense of call that she
left her aunt's home and support to live on what she could earn as a lawyer.

The struggle was great but she felt her calling was to be an honest lawyer.
As the story unfolds Kit learns to trust God in times of stress and how to use
her skill to save the innocent.
