Letters on Baptism

by Edmund B. Fairfield

American Presbyterian Press

Third Edition     110 pages    Soft Cover

The Rev.  Edmund B. Fairfield, a Baptist minister, was commissioned to write a book on baptism. After extensive research and soul searching, he finally had to say A... there is no immersion in the scriptures.@   This meant separation from the church in which he had served. He was accepted in another group and  asked to write a series of letters on the subject of baptism.  These letters are written as from one friend to another.   In the first letter he explains how he came to change his views on baptism and how he came write the letters.  The 14 other letters represent a serious, scholarly study of baptism through the centuries with copious references to both secular and scriptural references  to baptism.
