In this slim volume Jay Adams addresses the "matter of signs and wonders."

What is their purpose? Are they for all times or do they apply to special times? May these miraculous works be performed by all Christians? From time to time throughout history leaders have arisen insisting that they were God’s messengers whom Christians must follow. Often these have had tragic consequences. Over and over Adams reminds his readers that the Bible is true and is to be followed as it is written, not as someone interprets it.

The book concludes: "It is my sincere hope to help you see the biblical truths behind the position I have set forth in this book. May the Lord help you to learn from the Bible one truth about signs and wonders. . . [T]he signs and wonders of the New Testament church were confined to the last days. The

"last days" to which Joel referred ended in 70AD. Given the completed (and complete) revelation of the New Testament, you have all you need to live as God requires you to live, serving and glorifying Him and blessing your neighbor. Be satisfied with what he has provided for you and do not long for something more!"
