Boundaries in Dating
Making Dating Work
by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend

The authors are both psychologists who maintain private practices, but they
are also popular speakers and co_hosts of a nationally broadcast radio
show. They have written other books in the field of dating.
Not only does this book deal with beginning and developing relationships
with the opposite sex, it points to insights which are helpful to happily
married couples.

While written in an informal conversational style, the book deals with serious
questions. The first section discusses boundaries. Before dating one should
decide what limits are to be set. Why limits? A significant question is
discussed in the second section. Whom should I date? Can you accept the
idea that this might be something which will last a life time. Then comes
discussing the times when there are problems developing in the dating
relationship. They need not be terminal! See what is involved. Lastly, is the
problem in your date? Throughout the book runs the idea that one's body is
sacred and the use of that body must be in accord with God's laws. Does
this person understand? Thoughtful reading of Boundaries in Dating can
prevent heartaches.
